Where are you located?

Suz4fitness is in 2 locations:

9 Oxford Mews/307 Queen Street, Richmond, Nelson, NZ. Office is upstairs, gym is downstairs.

415 Main Road, Spring Grove, Wakefield, Tasman.

Do I need to be fit to train at Suz4fitness?

No - not at all. Your goal is to get fitter than when you start out so it doesn't matter what fitness level you come in at.

Do I need to be in the Nelson region to get coaching from you?

No - I have the tools to do Remote Coaching for both exercise and nutrition. Accountability from home. 

How many times per week should I exercise?

3-4 x per week is ideal to get you on your way towards a healthier and fitter you.

How can I loose weight and/or increase muscle mass?

Weight Loss is created when the body burns more calories than consumed. It is important when exercising to incorporate cardio sessions as well as strength training sessions. Cardio has its place as a great way of burning calories, with weight training playing its part to build muscle. An increase in muscle mass in turn increases your metabolism, burning more calories around the clock, even at rest. Weight loss must always be accompanied by a change of eating habits. They say weight management starts in the kitchen. I can help you find a sustainable way to manage your weight.

Is there a seperate Gym Membership fee at Suz4fitness?

No. The price you pay for the sessions covers access to the gym. If you want 24/7 access then this is seperate - please enquire.

What are my payment options?

Group Membership - Weekly or Monthly

Nutrition - Weekly or Monthly

Remote Coaching and Small Group Personal Training - Monthly

Casual Membership and Personal Training - Pay online before or cash at the session

Do I have to pay if I don't attend a Group Session?

That depends. If you are on a Casual membership or a 10trip pass then NO. You only pay when you turn up. If you are on a weekly or monthly payment plan with a Starter(1 per week), Foundation(2 per week) or Extreme (3+ per week) membership then YES you have to pay if you attend or not. Unless you put your membership on hold. 4 weeks maximum, 2 weeks minimum at a time, over a calendar year.

How much notice do I need to give to cancel my membership?

You need to give 2 weeks notice in writing before your membership will be stopped for Group Membership. 1 month for Remote Coaching, Small Group Personal Training & Nutrition Coaching..

Can I freeze my Group Membership?

Yes, you may freeze your membership for overseas travel or serious illness, up to a maximum of 4 weeks per year. Minimum of 2 weeks at a time. Any requests for a membership freeze must be made in writing.

What is Remote Coaching?

Remote Coaching is a specialized program tailored for you, delivered through a coaching app called CoachRX, so you can train whenever and whereever you like with the guidance and support of your coach. Click the button for more details.

What is Personal Training?

Personal Training is a 1-1 or 1-2 training session with your coach. A program is written based on initial assessments and consultations. In the 1hr sessions you will be guided through your training and progressed through to move towards your goals. Click the button to find out more.

What is Small Group Personal Training?

Small Group Personal Training (SGPT) is a mix of Personal Training, Remote Coaching and Groups. We do assessments to write the best program, you use a coaching app to run your training, you train with others while doing your own exercises with the guidance of a floor coach to make sure you are doing the write thing.

This service is yet to be started but if you are interested please get in touch.

Will I be charged if I cancel my Nutrition/Fitness Consultation OR Personal Training Session?

If you are having a one off session and you cancel within 2hours of your scheduled appointment you will be charged 50% of your fee. If you fail to turn up to an appointment then you will be charged 100% of your fee. This is subject to circumstances. 

Is there a minimum signup for Nutrition Coaching, Remote Coaching and Small Group Personal Training?

Yes 3 months for Nutrition. Remote Coaching and Small Group Personal Training is 1month.

Why would I sign up for a Nutritionist?

As a Qualified Nutritionist I can work out what you need to eat based on your training and lifestyle. We work together to base your food around what you currently eat with some tweaks. We create sustainable habits. I will also educate you on why and how we fuel ourselves. I will keep you held accountable while working together to get to your goal(s). 

If I sign up for Nutrition coaching will I be told what to eat?

No, not really. We will go through what you currently eat, work out what your requirements for food are based on your lifestyle and training, then make a demo day to identify what types of food you should be eating. We work on Sustainability, Collaboration and Education to get you to your goals.  

Can I try group sessions before I buy?

Of course - have a free week on me.

​Can I bring a friend?

Of course you can, bring 2. For group sessions just get them to book a trial through the timetable on my website. If they want to try Nutrition, Personal Training, Small Group Personal Training or Remote Coaching then get them to contact me directly and mention you when they do. You will get a wee gift when they sign up.

How long before a Group class can I cancel?

You can cancel up to 30mins before the class. If you late cancel this class will be counted as one of your allocated classes so make sure you really NEED to cancel. Please contact directly if you need to late cancel with a good reason.

How long before a Group class can I book?

You can book up to 1 hour before. After that bookings close so don't miss out.

Can I purchase a week long pass to the gym and how much is it?

A weeks pass is $60 for 24/7 access, $85 for 24/7 plus Suz4fitness Group Sessions.
